Comparative Study On The Efficacy Of Different Extracts Of Cistanche Deserticola in Anti-fatigue And Improving Sexual Ability

Objective: To observe the improvement effect of different extracts of Cistanche deserticola on exercise-induced fatigue mice and its effect on the sexual ability of kidney yang deficiency mice.

Method and Results: Mouse models of exercise-induced fatigue and kidney yang deficiency were prepared by swimming to exhaustion and gavage with hydrocortisone, respectively; Evaluate the exercise and sexual abilities of each group of mice using weight-bearing swimming experiments and mating experiments, respectively.

Result display: The total oligosaccharides of Cistanche deserticola can significantly prolong the swimming exhaustion time of fatigue mice, increase the liver glycogen content, reduce the accumulation of lactic acid (HL), reduce the content of creatine kinase (CK) in serum, and increase the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in the liver. The total glycosides of phenyl ethanol in Cistanche deserticola can significantly increase serum testosterone (T) and gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) levels, significantly reduce serum estradiol (E2) levels, improve testicular pathological morphology, and enhance sexual ability by tonifying kidney yang.

Conclusion: The total oligosaccharides of Cistanche deserticola can improve the exercise-induced fatigue state of mice by regulating the glucose metabolism in the peripheral system, becoming the main active site of Cistanche deserticola for anti-fatigue; In terms of improving sexual ability, the total glycosides of phenyl ethanol in Cistanche deserticola can improve sexual ability in mice by regulating sex hormone levels It is the main active site.
