Our local friends said that they often saw Dayun (Cistanche) in the desert when they were raising sheep when they were young and when they went to work in the farmland. When the spring returns to the earth in March, the branches and leaves of Cistanche sprout straight out of the ground and then sprout into small purple or yellow curly flowers, which can grow more than one meter high. However, as the tonic effect of Cistanche has been widely recognized, people have begun to dig it indiscriminately so that now wild Cistanche has become an endangered species. Fortunately, now that the artificial cultivation technology of Cistanche is mature, the precious Chinese medicinal materials of Cistanche can continue to benefit human health.
