The height of Cistanche tubulosa is 60-100cm, and the height of the aboveground part is 30-35cm. The stem is unbranched, with a basal diameter of 3-4cm. The leaves are milky white, turning brown after drying, triangular in shape, 2-3cm long, and about 5mm wide. They gradually narrow into a triangular or lanceolate shape on the upper part of the stem. Spike inflorescence, 12-18cm long, 5-6cm in diameter; Bracts oblong-lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, 2-2.7cm long and 5-6.5mm wide, with pubescent edges and no hair on both sides; 2 bracts, linear-lanceolate or spoon-shaped, 15-17cm long, subglabrous. Calyx tube-shaped, 15-18mm long, 5-lobed at the top to near the middle. The lobes are the same as the corolla tube, milky white, turning yellow-white after drying, nearly equal in size, long in an egg-shaped triangle or lanceolate shape, 6-10mm long, corolla tube shaped funnel-shaped, 4cm long, 5-lobed at the top.
