A Magical Formula That Not Only Nourishes Yin But Also Yang

In daily life, there is a constitution called yin and yang deficiency. Such people are afraid of cold in winter, hot in summer, dry in autumn, and wind in spring.

Chinese medicines such as ginseng, Cistanche deserticola, and astragalus
Specifically,I am afraid of the cold in winter, but I cannot replenish my energy. Even if I eat some hot food, I need to turn on a fire.
I'm afraid of the heat in summer, but I can't turn on the air conditioning, otherwise, a blow of the air conditioning will make my stomach uncomfortable.
Autumn is afraid of dryness. Generally speaking, Yin deficiency is prone to dryness, right? Because people with Yin deficiency lack Yin fluid in their bodies, which is water. For example, natural plants become dry after some time without watering, and when you break them with your hands, they crack and crack. Nowadays, many people feel dry mouth, throat, nose, and skin in autumn, thinking they need to drink more water, but after drinking, they still feel dry. Why? Because your body lacks a heat source, without this heat, the added water cannot be utilized. Taking vegetation as an example, when you look at winter, the temperature outside decreases. Even if you pour too much water, the branches are still dry because the temperature is not enough to evaporate well. In spring, when the temperature rises, if you look again, the branches will immediately become a bit more flexible. So without yin fluid, the body cannot be nourished. With yin fluid, but yin fluid cannot be vaporized, the body still cannot be nourished, will still be dry, and will crack.

What's wrong with being afraid of the wind in spring? This is because people with yin and yang deficiency always have a slower body than others, unable to keep up with changes in the outside world. Spring happens to be a windy season, with a stuffy nose and itchy eyes when the wind blows. In Western medicine, this is called allergies. In the view of traditional Chinese medicine, it is actually because your body does not have enough positive energy, which cannot be mobilized at critical moments, and is not enough to fight against various evil spirits from the outside world, which allows the other party to take advantage of it. In the Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic, it is said that there is a store of righteous qi, and evil cannot be interfered with. When evil gathers, its qi will inevitably become empty.
Simply put, seemingly the deficiency of yin and yang is actually due to a lack of proper qi. A large part of the positive energy comes from the kidneys, which are the organs of water and fire. You can imagine the kidneys as a big house where the yin and yang of the kidneys reside. Therefore, the deficiency of both yin and yang needs to be replenished in the kidneys.
In the "Shengji Zonglu" of the Song Dynasty, there is a prescription called Dihuang Yinzi, which contains both warm yang aconite and Morinda officinalis, as well as nourishing yin dendrobium and Ophiopogon japonicas. So it is a prescription that combines yin and yang, which can make you not afraid of both cold and heat, and not afraid of wind and dryness.
Rehmannia Decoction: 12g of cooked Rehmannia, 15g of Morinda officinalis, Cornus officinalis, Dendrobium officinale, Cistanche deserticola, Aconite, Schisandra chinensis, Osmanthus officinalis, Poria cocos, Ophiopogon japonicus, Acorus calamus, and Polygala tenuifolia each.
This prescription can be divided into four parts.
Part 1: Morinda officinalis, Aconite, and Osmanthus officinalis, mainly used for tonifying yang.
Ba Jitian, upon hearing its name, feels very domineering. It is indeed very powerful. No matter how much damage you makeup, it can always make up for you step by step.
Aconite is passionate and unrestrained, doesn't like to stay in one place, likes to walk around, and can go anywhere cold and cool. Its medicinal properties can travel from the organs to the muscles and bones, so for some bone and joint pain caused by wind, cold, and dampness, it is necessary to use aconite.
While tonifying yang with official osmanthus, it can also ignite the fire and restore vitality, which is its unique feature and is also rare among other warm medicines.
Part 2: Rehmannia glutinosa, Dendrobium officinale, Ophiopogon japonicas, Schisandra chinensis, mainly used for nourishing yin.
The main function of ripe ground here is to tonify kidney yin.
Dendrobium and Ophiopogon japonicus are both sweet. As soon as something sweet enters your mouth, you instantly feel that your mouth is full of saliva. Therefore, Dendrobium and Ophiopogon japonicus can both nourish and clear the body. Prolonged yin deficiency inevitably leads to heat. When you drink Dendrobium and Ophiopogon japonicus, it feels like rain is falling on your body, and all kinds of annoying heat and smoke disappear.
Schisandra has a sour taste and is the main source of absorption. Therefore, Schisandra can not only replenish but also absorb. Once it enters the body, it is like forming a large net, which can collect every drop of the added yin liquid without leakage.
Part 3: Cistanche herb and Cornus officinalis, which can both nourish yin and yang, follow a path of moderation.

Cistanche tubulosa grows in the desert, and the plants in the desert have strong vitality, otherwise, it would not be able to withstand the harsh environment. Although some parts of Cistanche deserticola exposed to the ground are not amazing, its roots can drill down to a very deep underground, and then absorb the surrounding essence. With such powerful roots as support, it not only does not fear the sun's exposure but can collect the sun's heat for its use. When it is twisted, it is full of body fluid, that is to say, it can retain water. So Cistanche deserticola is also a medicine that supplements both yin and yang.

Part 4: Poria cocos, Acorus calamus, and Polygala tenuifolia are mainly used for communicating with the heart and kidneys.
The so-called traffic heart kidney refers to the downward movement of the heart fire to warm the kidney water; Kidney water needs to flow upwards to regulate heart fire. In other words, the heart fire and kidney water need to intersect. You cannot be you, he is him. It needs to be like drawing a circle, connecting the head and tail so that the body can achieve a perfect state of combining water and fire. If there is a problem with either side of the heart and kidneys, this circle cannot connect. So when the kidney yin is replenished, the kidney yang is replenished, and the heart and kidneys need to be connected again, just like a millstone. When the beans are filled, an external force needs to be given to make it work. Once the heart and kidneys intersect, the entire function of the body can be considered restored.
Overall, Dihuang Yinzi is a very typical Yin Yang tonifying agent, but it is more inclined towards warming and tonifying, so people with heavy deficiency fire should be cautious when taking it.
