Abstract: Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of cistanche granules on male erectile dysfunction. The 60 cases were randomly divided into 3 groups, each with 20 cases. Group A was given cistanche Granules, group B was given cinnafil, and group C was combined with the two drugs to observe the treatment effect of the 3 groups. Results cistanche Granules and Sildenafil are both effective for erectile dysfunction, and the combined effect is better. Conclusion cistanche granule is effective in treating male erectile dysfunction, and its combination with sildenafil has good clinical value in western medicine.

Male erectile dysfunction (ED) is one of the common diseases in clinical andrology. It is estimated that the incidence in China is about 10% of the male population [1]. In view of the influence of the traditional concept of taboos and taboos, the true number may be even greater. This disease seriously affects the patient's quality of life, emotions, and family harmony. In recent years, we have used cistanche Granules to treat patients with ED, and compared with Sildenafil (Viagra) to observe its clinical efficacy. The results are reported below.

1 Material and methods

1. 1 Diagnostic criterion

The definition of impotence made by the International Impotence Society (ISI) is that the penis cannot be effectively erected during intercourse, resulting in insufficient intercourse. Domestic experts believe that: impotence refers to the inability of the penis to erect in most cases, or the erection but the inability to maintain the erection and perform sexual intercourse [2]. The standard adopted by our hospital is: the penis cannot be erected during sexual intercourse, or the erection is not firm so there is a 75% chance that normal sexual intercourse cannot be completed, and the course of the disease is more than 3 months.

1. 2 Selection criteria

Diagnosed as functional ED, and excluded outpatients with complications such as hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents.

1. 3 Clinical data

Based on the above criteria, we selected 60 outpatients with ED in our hospital from May 2009 to August 2010, aged 25-50 years old, with a course of 4-13 months. All the sex hormone tests were normal and the prosthesis tests were positive. They were randomly divided into group A, group B, and Group C with 20 cases each. There were no significant differences between the groups in terms of patient age, course of the disease, erectile function score, and severity of illness (P>0.05), and they were comparable.

1. 4 treatment methods

Group A: Taking cistanche Granules (manufactured by Inner Mongolia Lantai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Batch number: National Medicine Standard Z20030099), 2g/time, 3 times a day for a total of 2 months.

Group B: Take sildenafil (trade name: Viagra, manufactured by Pfizer, batch number: National Medicine Standard H20020528), 100 mg/time, as needed, at least 5 times within 2 months.

Group C: Take the above two drugs at the same time.

1. 5 Observation items

Observe the three groups of patients before and after medication, the International Index of Erectile Function Questionnaire, IIEF-5 score, and other indicators.2 results

A total of 60 patients in the 3 groups completed this clinical observation. All patients obtained the IIEF-5 score before and after treatment and filled in the International Index of Erectile Function Questionnaire. The results (see Table 1 and Table 2).

Compared within the three groups, the scores before and after treatment were significantly different. Compared with group A and group B, there is no significant difference in score after treatment, but in patients with severe ED, group B is better than group A. Compared with group A and group B, group C has a significant difference in score after treatment.

It can be seen from Table 2 that in terms of sexual satisfaction, orgasm, and sexual desire, there is no significant difference between the two groups of cistanche Granules and Sildenafil; There were significant differences in group B (P <0.05). In terms of overall sexual satisfaction, there was no significant difference between the three groups after treatment.

3 Discussion

Male erectile dysfunction (ED) is one of the most common andrological diseases, which can significantly reduce the quality of life, and its causes are complex. Therefore, cistanche granules and sildenafil have a synergistic effect in the treatment of ED, and cistanche granules can improve the curative effect of two dinafils. In this study, patients in group C who were treated with Cirong Yishen Granules and Sildenafil significantly improved their libido, increased their sexual satisfaction, and the frequency of orgasms, indicating that the combination of Ci Rong Yishen Granules and sildenafil was effective valuable.
