2 Results and analysis

2.1 Comparison of plant morphological characteristics

Wild Haloxylon ammodendron seeds are dark brown, with an average seed diameter of 2.38 mm, a thickness of 1.2 mm, a fruit wing length of 3.08 mm, and a thousand-seed weight of 3.37 g (Table 1). There are obvious black longitudinal veins on the fruit wings, and the germination rate and germination potential are high. (Figure 1-A1). Except for seed diameter, other seed parameters of Haloxylon ammodendron are significantly different from those of Haloxylon ammodendron (P<0.01). The assimilated branches of Haloxylon ammodendron are thick (average diameter 1.54mm), the internodes are short (average 7.58 mm) and rich in water. Compared with Haloxylon ammodendron alba, the difference is extremely significant (P<0.01); the leaves degenerate into small scales, and their leaves are degenerated into small scales. The top of the assimilation branch is blunt and rounded (Figure 1-B1).

The annual rings of the Haloxylon ammodendron stem in the transverse section are sparse and the color is dark brown. The longitudinal section of the stem is lighter in color, the xylem is sparse, there are more conduits connecting up and down, and the phloem is thick (Figure 1-C1, Figure 1-D1). The seeds and fruit wings of wild Haloxylon ammodendron are larger, light yellowish brown, with a seed diameter of 2.42 mm, a thickness of 0.99 mm, a fruit wing length of 4.23 mm, and a thousand-grain weight of 5.50 g. The germination rate and germination potential are low, and the veins on the fruit wings are low. The lines are not obvious (Figure 1-A2). The assimilated branches of Haloxylon ammodendron are slender, with an average diameter of 1.23 mm, light green, and the internode is slightly longer at 10.91 mm. The leaves are triangular in shape, often attached to branches, with steep slopes on both sides of the hypotenuse, and a tapered thorn shape (with an obvious awn tip) at the top of the triangle (Figure 1-B2). The cross section of the branches of Haloxylon ammodendron is dense, the annual rings are dense, and the color is light yellow. The longitudinal section is darker, the xylem is denser, there are fewer connecting vessels up and down, and the outer phloem is thin (Figure 1-C2, Figure 1- D2).

2.2 Pollen morphology analysis

The electron microscope scanning results of pollen morphology of Haloxylon ammodendron and Haloxylon ammodendron and Haloxylon ammodendron albicans are shown in Figure 2. It can be seen from the figure that the pollen morphological characteristics of Haloxylon ammodendron and Haloxylon ammodendron albicans are relatively similar. Both are nearly round, symmetrical on both sides, have round germination pores, and granular protrusions in the pore grooves (Figure 2). However, there are great differences in the morphological characteristics of the two. Judging from the decorative structure of the pollen outer wall, the outer walls of Haloxylon ammodendron and Haloxylon ammodendron are both reticulate. The reticular ridge particles are spherical and the density is relatively uniform. The spherical particles of Haloxylon ammodendron are more uniform. Sparse, while the particles of Haloxylon ammodendron are denser. The mesh of Haloxylon ammodendron is deeply sunken and there are fewer granular protrusions in the mesh, while the mesh of Haloxylon ammodendron is shallow, the mesh is more granular and there are more protrusions in the mesh (Figure 2-A1, Figure 2-B1). Comparison under a 4000x electron microscope showed that the size of Haloxylon ammodendron pollen grains was significantly smaller than that of Haloxylon ammodendron. It can be seen from Table 2 that the average polar axis length of Haloxylon ammodendron pollen is 17.29 µm, the equatorial axis width is 16.99 µm, and the P╳E is 294.22.

The P/E is 1.02; while the average polar axis length of Haloxylon ammodendron pollen is 18.34 µm, the equatorial axis width is 18.05 µm, the P╳E is 332.20, and the P/E is 1.02 (Table 2). Analysis of variance showed that there were significant differences in polar axis length, equatorial axis width and volume between Haloxylon ammodendron and Haloxylon ammodendron and Haloxylon ammodendron pollen (P<0.05). The difference in the number of spherical particles between the two was extremely significant (P<0.01). , there is no significant difference in mesh length, width and number.

Correlation analysis showed that Haloxylon ammodendron agronomic indicators were significantly correlated with climatic factors (Table 4). Among them, the plant height of Haloxylon ammodendron is significantly negatively correlated with air temperature and the temperature at 20 cm of the soil, indicating that as the temperature increases, the growth of Haloxylon ammodendron slows down, which is related to the fact that Haloxylon ammodendron enters a short growth dormancy period in hot summer.

The number of branches and the number of first-level branches are significantly negatively correlated with air humidity, and significantly positively correlated with light and soil temperature of 20 cm, indicating that the climate environment with higher soil ground temperature and stronger light can promote the germination and growth of Haloxylon ammodendron. , and moisture is an important factor limiting the growth of Haloxylon ammodendron. There is a significant positive correlation between stem base diameter and soil temperature at 40 and 60 cm, indicating that the increase in ground temperature in the root distribution layer of Haloxylon ammodendron can promote the growth of its aboveground parts.

Correlation analysis showed that the plant height of Haloxylon ammodendron and water content were significantly positively correlated (Table 5), indicating that as the plant continues to grow, the proportion of its main trunk in its fresh weight continues to increase, resulting in a lower water content. There is a significant positive correlation between the root length of Haloxylon ammodendron and the number of branches and the dry weight of the plant, indicating that as the root length increases, its above-ground parts continue to increase, resulting in the gradual increase in the number of branches and the dry weight of the plant. Since the root length of the Haloxylon ammodendron excavated in this study was its main root, all the fibrous roots at the lower end of the main root could not be dug out, resulting in no correlation between root length and plant height. In addition, the dry weight of Haloxylon ammodendron plants is significantly positively correlated with the number of branches and stem base diameter, indicating that with the rapid growth of Haloxylon ammodendron stems, the number of branches and plant dry weight will increase significantly.

The root length of Haloxylon ammodendron is significantly positively correlated with air temperature and soil temperature at 20 cm and 60 cm, and is significantly negatively correlated with relative air humidity (Table 6), indicating that as air temperature and soil temperature increase, Haloxylon ammodendron In order to obtain water, its root system will continue to grow. At the same time, water is also one of the important factors limiting the growth of Haloxylon ammodendron. In addition to the significant positive correlation with the number of first-level branches, the relative humidity of the air has a significant negative correlation with root length, plant height, number of branches and water content, indicating that the relative humidity of the atmosphere will affect the normal growth of Haloxylon ammodendron. Higher air humidity can promote the rapid growth of Haloxylon ammodendron.
